Lisa was glad that Homer's modern loaner car had a radio that let her contribute directly to the National Public Radio (NPR). She inserted a coin and Terry Gross could be heard thanking and introducing a 1987 interview with Senator Alan Cranston.[1]
Terry Gross had a congressman who didn't believe in global warming on her show. When the congressman said that many scientists had questions about global warming, she said that it was an interesting perspective.[2]
Homer said that everyone deserved their fair shot at a seat, even if it was for Terry Gross in conversation with Drama Desk Award winner Audra McDonald at the 92nd Street Y.[3]
