Vehicle Information
Owner: Duff Beer
Use: Advertising
First Appearance: "Lisa the Beauty Queen"

The Duff Blimp is a blimp with the Duff beer logo on it. It could possibly be based on the real life Goodyear Blimp. The blimp is often piloted by Duffman. It is generally either gray or red.

History[edit]

Duff launched a contest in which the winner could fly the Duff Blimp. Homer was the winner, but let Barney fly the blimp, who later crashed it into the Shøp store.[1]

When Sideshow Bob threatened Springfield with detonating a nuclear bomb if they didn't get rid of TV, he hid on a Duff blimp at the U.S. Air Force Base. Lisa later found him, noticing his voice was squeaky due to the helium in the blimp.[2]

Homer predicted that stars would fall from the sky before doomsday, and the blimp, carrying Duffman, Krusty, and other celebrities, fell at a stadium, leading every Springfieldian to believe Homer's prediction had come true.[3]

Comics[edit]

Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney once came into possession of a large number of eggs and couldn't agree on what to do with them. At Bart's suggestion, they hijacked the Duff Blimp and used it to egg people and objects all over Springfield.[4]

Video Games[edit]

In The Simpsons Road Rage, the blimp can be seen in the sky in the Entertainment District level.

In The Simpsons Skateboarding, the blimp can be seen in the Power Plant level.

In The Simpsons: Hit & Run, the blimp floats above the Springfield Stadium in Level 2 and Level 5, and outside the Duff Brewery in Level 3 and Level 6. When Bart was looking for laser guns as proof of an alien conspiracy, he found one next to the blimp at the brewery.

In The Simpsons Game, the blimp can be seen floating in the background near the Heavenly Spa in the Game Over level.
