Town/City Information
First appearance: "The Serfsons"

The Kingdom of Springfieldia is a kingdom in medieval times. Lord Montgomery ruled over the town, while King Quimby ruled over the kingdom of Springfieldia.

Description[edit]

The Kingdom of Springfieldia is a medieval town mostly constructed from stone and wood. Two major landmarks make up the town, Lord Montgomery's Castle and the Springfieldia Human Power Plant, where several people worked as slave labor. Along the castle walls are spikes with severed heads of people on them. The town center is home to many shops and businesses, while the town square has space for public punishments of criminals. Outside of the town center is where the serfs live in hovels surrounded by open fields.

Lord Montgomery, who rules over the town, keeps people suffering because human misery can be collected and ground into a powder for nobles to use to get tiny wings that do not do anything. Because of Lord Montgomery's policies, most of the town lives in awful conditions. Illnesses and diseases are very common, with Barber Hibbert being the town's doctor at Barber Hibbert's Surgery.

King Quimby rules over the entire kingdom from his court. The court seems to be close enough to the town center for the nobility to visit.

History[edit]

The Serfson family lived in a house in Springfieldia. Anyone detected using magic was taken away to be trained as wizards for King Quimby. After Lisa was taken away by Sorcerer-intendent Chalmers and other wizards of the King, Homer rallied the people of Springfieldia to attack Lord Montgomery's Castle and overthrow the nobility. He led an army of serfs and townspeople to the castle gates and had everyone create ladders from the Ents, who are living trees, so they could get over the castle walls. Rainier Wolfcastle, a knight of King Quimby, led the defense of the Castle, riding on the Dragon of Springfieldia. Jacqueline Bouvier, who had been infected by an Ice Walker bite and was turning to ice, removed the Amulet of Warmfyre that was halting the progression of the disease and killed the dragon, sacrificing herself in the process. After defeating the dragon, the magic of the kingdom started to disappear because dragon's fire is what powers magic. As Lisa explained to the townspeople that they'd have to start looking to science instead of magic, Homer brought the dragon back to life again to keep the magic around. The dragon then flew off and started burning down the town.
