The LZ 129 Hindenburg was an airship that caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock on May 6, 1937.

History[edit]

A poster featuring the album artwork of Led Zepellin album is seen, wich features a black-and-white image of the burning Hindenburg airship.[1][2]

The filmstrip that Mr. Burns uses to train Santa's Little Helper as a killer includes a clip of the Hindenburg exploding.[3]

Bart gets a Hindenburg-themed checkbook from the bank, and it has the words "Oh, the humanity!" printed on top.[4]

The Hindenburg disaster was published in the Herald.[5]

The color picture on the back wall behind Lisa at the Cafe Kafka is of the Hindenburg disaster.[6]

The LZ 129 Hindenburg was a real airship, which infamously was destroyed on May 6, 1937.
