Character Information
|
The City inspector works for Waverly Hills, and checks to make sure that those who claim residence in the city actually live there.
History[edit]
When Marge and Homer buy an apartment in the city so that Bart and Lisa can attend Waverly Hills Elementary School, the inspector is assigned to them. They manage to trick him into thinking children live in the apartment. Marge describes him as "psychopathic". In fact, he later tells them "too bad, I was looking forward to killing you and making it look like a suicide."
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The character is based on Anton Chigurh, a character from the 2007 film No Country for Old Men who was played by Javier Bardem. Like Chigurh, the inspector often flips a coin, calls people "friendo" and uses a bolt pistol to blow away door locks.
