Bart was given a pen pal at Springfield Elementary School. His pen pal wrote that he was a Nigerian Prince who needed his help getting his money out of the country, and wanted him to send $500 in exchange for a share of his fortune and his friendship. Bart threw away the letter because he belived it was a scam. In Nigeria, the Nigerian Prince was sad that no one wanted share his fortune, because he asked so little in return.
