The Bloody Hangman is a character in a story that Homer made up.
History[edit]
On a stormy night, Homer was telling a story about The Bloody Hangman to Bart, Maggie and Lisa. According to Homer, the hangman hangs people with his noose, that is strong enough to hang ten moose. He was chasing a person down an alley, singing his ancient land-shanty: "Kershaw Kershew, I'm after you. With my bloody noose, strong enough to hang ten moose."
After the story finished, Homer saw something smash through the window and believed that his story had come true and that The Bloody Hangman was real and ran away.
