At the "Nuclear Plant Employee, Spouses and No More than Three Children Night" Mr. Burns told the Springfield Isotopes that "the hitter's off his rocker, kissing Betty Crocker".[1]

When Lisa found out the true story about T. R. Francis she asked Marge if she doesn't care that Betty Crocker is an invention of '20s-era ad men. Marge told Lisa that she knows she is hurting, but that's no reason to lash out at her. Marge then went away with a pack featuring Betty Crocker and threw it in the trash.[2]
