Joseph Pedott is an American inventor who is a member of Homer Simpson's Lazy Hall of Fame.
History
Homer includes Pedott in The Lazy Hall of Fame for his invention of The Clapper, which has saved untold amounts of energy because people no longer have to reach for the light switch to turn out the lights.
Behind the Laughter
In real life, Joseph Pedott (born 1932) is the owner of the gadget company Joseph Enterprises. Two of the company's most popular products are The Clapper and the Chia Pet.
