Marge read the book to Lisa. In the book, Clara met Conor, who was feeble-witted. Due to his harsh upbringing, he turned to alcoholism. Marge then imagined Conor speaking to her, telling her that the Irish are nobody's joke any more. Ironically, Conor then started dancing an Irish jig.
