Cosby and his family later auditioned to appear in The 1895 Challenge, a reality show where the cast would live as though the year was 1895. However, they lost out to the Simpson family. Cosby is also the author of the book Fatherhood, a copy of which was given to Homer by the National Fatherhood Institute. Cosby also has his own sitcom, The Cosby Show.
