Penelope was a new addition to the Krusty the Clown show, as his producers found out that they are losing the female demographic. Krusty accepts the new addition, but then gets very tired of her girly antics, and how he is losing male viewers. However, when he goes to confront Penelope, she tells him she joined mainly of the reason that she is his biggest fan, and she has been since she was a child. After this, she and Krusty start a relationship.
