Mr. Mitchell is a blind man who adopted Santa's Little Helper.

Bart gave away Santa's Little Helper he could instead keep a more preferable dog, Laddie. Bart later gave up Laddie to the police and tried to get Santa's Little Helper back. He found out that Reverend Lovejoy gave him to a blind man, Mr. Mitchell, who had renamed him Sprinkles. Bart tried to steal the dog back however Mr. Mitchell called the police. Eventually Mr. Mitchell returned Santa's Little Helper to Bart since the two had a strong bond. When the police arrived, Laddie found a bag of marijuana in Mr. Mitchell's pocket.
