When Fritz and Hans bought the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Horst was selected to help the employees acculturate to their new bosses, and remarked that he was chosen for this job as his bosses considered him the friendliest looking. Horst did not think highly of Homer, largely due to Homer's lackadaisical attitude towards work and his "Land of Chocolate" daydreaming. Horst stopped working at the power plant when his bosses sold it back to Mr. Burns after realizing how costly and dangerous it was to maintain it.[1]
Hans and Horst were investigating a conspiracy theory together that Angela Merkel was really born in Brazil.[2]
