The Screamapillar is an endangered species that takes up residence in the Simpson family's backyard. It is large and red and is similar to a caterpillar. It is easily identified by its constant screaming. It screams in its sleep. It is also sexually attracted to fire. It needs constant reassurance or it will die and is the favorite food of everything. The Simpsons are forced to take care of it. When Homer nearly kills it, and he is sentenced to 200 hours of community service. The Screamapillar smiles and laughs when Homer is in the electric chair.
