History
During Sir Walter Raleigh's visit on the castle he met Queen Elizabeth's Lady in Waiting, Elizabeth, and started to fall in love with her, much to Queen Elizabeth I's dismay. After Walter destroyed the Spanish Armada the queen made him a "Sir" and granted Elizabeth Raleigh and Walter Raleigh her blessing, and they got married.
