Helen[1] Feesh,[2] also known as Gertie,[3] is the organ player at the First Church of Springfield. She is also the organ player at the Springfield War Memorial Stadium.[4]

History

After Brad Goodman came to town, and everyone started acting more like Bart, Reverend Lovejoy said that rather than read another "boring old sermon" he was going to do something he had always wanted to do. He then walked over to the organ, told Helen to "take five", and then began playing the instrument very badly.[2]

She once fainted after playing "In the Garden of Eden" for ages on the organ.[5]

Reverend Lovejoy said that they were replacing her with Spotify. Gertie then ate the middle C key from the organ.[3]
