Ernest is one of the owners of the Tuckernuck Inn, along with his wife, Trudy.

History

When Principal Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers were staying at the Tuckernuck Inn, Skinner asked Ernest if he could use the phone to call his mother. Ernest pointed him towards the phone but told Skinner to make sure nobody was using the upstairs phone at the time. Later, when Skinner and Chalmers were fighting, Skinner threw a stand of brochures at him, which went through the window. Ernest was shocked at this. During the fight, Chalmers noticed that Terry Bradshaw's name was written in the guest book. Ernest told him that it wasn't the Terry Bradshaw he was thinking of.
