Character Information
|
Queen Mary I was the queen of England between 19 July, 1553, until her death on 17 November, 1558. She was born 18 February, 1516 daughter of King Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon. Upon her death Mary's half-sister, Queen Elizabeth I, became Queen. In The Simpsons, she appeared in Margical History Tour, portrayed by Lisa Simpson, in which her mother was Margerine of Aragon, a parody of Katherine of Aragon,
Biography
Upon her birth Mary's father Henry VIII virtually disowned Mary as she was not the male heir he desired. He cogitated canonising Mary (a parody deriving from the Christian ascension to saint hood, resulting with firing one out of a canon) after she questioned why a women could not be his successor, or better yet why leaders could not be elected.
