Helen Fielding is the author of Bridget Jones's Diary. Sara Sloane invited her along to Marge's book club in which no one had read her book. She was happy that she was getting the money from sales of it though. She was a fan of 'British Comedy' in which everything is sped up and you have policemen with batons chasing you, which she does.

Helen Fielding is an English novelist and screenwriter, best known as the creator of the fictional character Bridget Jones, a franchise that chronicles the life of a thirtysomething single woman in London as she tries to make sense of life and love.
