Bode Wright is a youth minister and reverend in Springfield.

History

Bode Wright originally came from Traverse City, Michigan. After reading an ad on Christlist, which Helen Lovejoy posted, Bode moved to Springfield where he became the new youth minister for the church, against Reverend Lovejoy's wishes. Bode annoyed Reverend Lovejoy because he was popular, in particular with his wife. This led to a feud between the two of them, with Lovejoy being petty towards Bode and putting Bode down frequently.

During a church sermon, Reverend Lovejoy lost his voice. Michael, a member of the church choir, decided to let Bode take over the sermon. Bode became very popular and people started coming back to the church to listen to him. After his sermon, the congregation went to A Batter Place where Bode again proved popular with them. Lisa also struck up a friendship with him as Bode also liked jazz and science. Eventually, Lovejoy was removed as the reverend and Bode Wright took over his duties. Meanwhile, the Lovejoys decided to go to Michigan to dig up dirt on Bode.

Lisa went to visit Bode so they could meditate together. Lisa told Bode that he had inspired a religious revival in Springfield, with even Snake Jailbird going to Bode to repent for his crimes. Meanwhile, in Michigan, Reverend Lovejoy dug up some dirt on Bode.[1]
