Character Information
|
Maxwell Flinch is an injury lawyer.
History
After getting injured at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Homer watched an advert from Maxwell Flinch and employed his services to sue Mr. Burns. Meanwhile, Marge and Waylon Smithers struck up a close friendship. Mr. Burns told Smithers that if he couldn't get Homer to sign a waiver, he would send Smithers away to another country.
When Homer and Flinch got to court, Homer decided to sign the waiver and throw the case. Flinch was sad about this because nobody thinks about the lawyer. To make it up to him, Homer decided to trip down the stairs of the Springfield County Court House and sue them with his help.[1]
Homer later employed Flinch again after he chose to run over Gil Gunderson instead of Santa's Little Helper. Flinch used the fact that the jury all liked dogs to get them to find Homer not guilty. This led to new laws putting dogs lives above humans getting passed.[2]
