Character Information
|
Queen Mary I was the queen of England, appearing in a story told by Marge Simpson. She was the daughter King Henry VIII and Margarine of Aragon.
History
Upon her birth Mary's father Henry VIII virtually disowned Mary as she was not the male heir he desired. He cogitated canonising Mary (firing her out of a canon; a parody deriving from the Christian ascension to saint hood) after she questioned why a women could not be his successor, or better yet why leaders could not be elected.
Behind the Laughter
Queen Mary I was queen of England between 19 July 1553 and her death on 17 November 1558. She was born 18 February 1516 daughter of King Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon. Upon her death Mary's half-sister, Queen Elizabeth I, became Queen. In "Margical History Tour" she was portrayed by Lisa Simpson.
