Captain Joseph "Joe" Bowditch is the captain of The Relation Ship.
History
When Marge sent Homer and Bart on The Relation Ship, Bowditch helped the two have a better relationship. He also helped Arnie Pye and his son, Mr. Clark and Lewis, Ned and Rod and Todd, and Cletus Spuckler and Gitmo. During Bart's time on the ship, Bowditch promoted him to midshipman.
