Annie Hall was a friend of Michael Corleone.
History
When Moe told Maggie the story of The Godfather he used a doll to illustrate Annie Hall. When he told that after Michael became the new goodfather, he shut the door on Annie Hall. He illustrated this by closing a door with the doll behind.
