John Smith is a deceased and is buried on Springfield's cemetery.

History

When Bart tried to get Lisa happy, he tries to resurrect Snowball I for her, but accidentally reanimates hundreds of human corpses instead, one of them was John Smith. After Bart help Lisa returning the zombies who were dead before the spell to their graves. When John Smith came to the cemetery he meet another John Smith, born (1882) some thinks he was in his grave but when he understand the grav was for the John Smith was born 1882 he apologized.
