When Marge, Lisa, and Maggie visited the Barnacle Bay Oceanographic Institute, they met the oceanographer who was looking at a weather forecast for the area. The oceanographer said that the storm that was coming in was the most powerful storm he had ever seen, and he had seen three storms.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The oceanographer is a parody of the portrayal of meteorologist Todd Gross from the movie The Perfect Storm.
