Violet is the assistant to Matt Groening.

History

When Homer and Bart entered Matt Groening's mansion, Groening informs Violet to engage the super-tune defence system. She agrees, but calls him "Mr. Gro-ening" (with an 'o' sound), which Groening corrects. When Violet asks him if he's sure, he's not.

Behind the Laughter

Violet is based on and voiced by an actual assistant to Matt Groening, N. Vyolet Diaz.
