Rosa Barks is a Poodle and the Hibbert family dog.
History
Rosa Barks and Santa's Little Helper produced a litter of eight Greyhound/Poodle mix puppies as the result of his paying her a "booty call", according to Dr. Hibbert. After the puppies were born, Hibbert left them with the Simpson family, telling the Simpsons that "they're your problem now."
Homer was supposed to have had Santa's Little Helper neutered after he and She's the Fastest produced 25 puppies. However, Homer couldn't bring himself to do it, leaving Santa's Little Helper still able to sire puppies and impregnate Rosa Barks.
The Simpsons found homes for all eight of the Greyhound/Poodle puppies, giving them away to townspeople including Krusty the Clown, Groundskeeper Willie and Snake Jailbird.[1]
Rosa Barks was seen with her owners after it was made law that Springfield would become dog friendly. She was seen around Springfield when dogs were ruling the town.[2]
Behind the Laughter
Rosa Barks' name is an obvious play on civil rights activist Rosa Parks.
