Woodrow is the character invented by Bart Simpson as a lover for his teacher, Edna Krabappel.
History
Looking for revenge for Mrs. Krabappel taking away Bart's yo-yo, Bart wrote a letter to Krabappel under the name "Woodrow", in which he wrote he was looking for love. The letter also said he likes holding hands and dinner by candlelights, and hates yo-yos, something immediately made Mrs. Krabappel fall in love with Woodrow. Bart continued sending letter to Krabappel, until she asked Woodrow his photo. Bart chose a photo of Gordie Howe.
