The singing railroad hobo is a homeless person who rides a train alone and tells tall tales to the passengers of his compartment.
History
Some of these passengers included the Simpson family, and he told them three tales of Paul Bunyan, Connie Appleseed and Tom and Huck. During the family's stay on the train, the tramp forced Homer to bathe him, as it was unlikely anyone else would be on the train for a while. The Simpson family were on the way to Delaware when the tramp started telling his stories.
