Dirk Richter is the actor who portrayed Radioactive Man in the television series. It is mentioned that there are many "sordid details" regarding Richter's final years. He was found dead in a bordello, where his body was riddled with bullets. Buddy Hodges, the actor who played Fallout Boy, insinuates that he had a special relationship with Richter.

He was later mentioned as a possible choice to play Radioactive Man in a feature film. However, the director of the film pointed out that Richter was "73 years old and dead."
