Ned Flanders gave Bart the book when he joined the Junior Campers, and the book's instructions were very simple: "Don't do what Donny Don't does." Donny Don't was shown doing things with his knife, such as using it as a toothbrush, as ammo for a slingshot, and for menacing a sleeping cat.
