Mr. Gammelwas a man who worked for the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. He has a wife and a son called Tom. They attend Mr Burns's picnic, where Tom complains about missing Little League and Mr Burns fires the Mr. Gammel. Smithers says he'll be gone by the tug-of-war. However, when he reappears in Dancin' Homer, he can be seen still working for the Plant as he along with his wife and Tom, attend the Plant get-together at the Springfield War Memorial Stadium.
