Ned tried to find out where his son Todd had learned some swear words and spied on him while he watched an episode of Gomer Pyle.[2]

In a flashback, Homer was watching a news report about the fall of the Berlin Wall, and when he got bored, he switched over to Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C..[1]

When Marge asked Homer to throw away the old TV Guide's, he didn’t want to and started reading from an issue. He read about an episode of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. where Gomer upset Sergeant Carter, and he started to remember the episode.[3]
