The Berlin Wall was a concrete barrier that divided Berlin.

David St. Hubbins said that after the Berlin Wall fell, their records started selling on the dismal side of the Iron Curtain, and naturally that gave them a boost.[1]
Homer watches the fall of the Berlin Wall on television, but he considered to be boring, so he changed the channel.
After Homer accidentally pilots a submarine into Russian waters, Russia declares that it is going back to being communist. The Berlin Wall is then seen popping out of the ground.[2]
