The Berlin Wall was a concrete barrier that divided Berlin into East and West Berlin. The fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989 is often marked leading to the end of the Cold War.

History[edit]

David St. Hubbins said that after the Berlin Wall fell, their records started selling on the dismal side of the Iron Curtain, and naturally that gave them a boost.[1]

Homer watches the fall of the Berlin Wall on television, but he considered to be boring, so he changed the channel.

After Homer accidentally pilots a submarine into Russian waters, Russia declares that it is going back to being communist. The Berlin Wall is then seen popping out of the ground.[2]

Lugash came into the United States in 1983 by cartwheeling over the Berlin Wall.[3]

On one wall of Kent Brockman's office is a picture showing him on the Berlin Wall. One of the writings on the wall is German for "Kent was here".[4] Kent's daughter Brittany insisted he do a report on her new Lisa Lionheart doll and he agreed since she was right about the Berlin Wall being a big story.[5]

In a photograph, a younger Abraham Simpson was seen playing Test Your Strength with a hammer next to the Berlin Wall.[6]
