The Springfield University dean is the former dean of Springfield University.

History[edit]

When Homer was at Springfield University looking for Marge, several students started to mock him for being a townie. Homer then told them all that townies like him cook their food and clean their bathrooms. The dean then responded, saying that if townies cooked their food better, they'd have to clean their bathrooms less. After this, Homer ran off crying. The dean then yelled after him, telling him to run back to his town.

In the present, the dead walked past the Simpsons house with his dog. He looked into the house and muttered "townies".[1]

At some point, Bobby Peterson took over as dean, implying that the Springfield University dean retired.[2]
