History[edit]
After George gets mad at Homer, Martha tried to get him to calm down but he replied that he would get a divorce. When he told her that, she became happy.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
Martha Wilson is a character from the comic strip Dennis the Menace and played by Joan Plowright the feature film adaptation. The character design was used for the sweet old lady in The Simpsons Movie.
