Chinese Humongous (aka "the Great Humongous") is a man who works for the Chinese military.

History[edit]

When Bart was digging a large hole, Lisa told him that if he kept digging he'd dig straight through to China, to which Bat responded "If it happens, it happens." Meanwhile, up in space, a Chinese satellite was seen spying on Bart. As two military officials watched the screen, one of them wondered what Bart and Lisa were up to.

The great Humongous then walked up and said that he would stop the Americans. The second military officer was annoyed by the fact that Humongous was always announcing his name even though everyone already knew who he was. This causing Humongous to angrily storm off.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

When Homer was retelling this story to his friends at Moe's, Lenny asked how Homer could've known that the Chinese were spying on Bart. Homer told Lenny that he just "naturally assumed" they were spying, making it likely that none of the Chinese military officials actually exist.

The character is a reference to a gang leader called "the Humungus" or at times "Lord Humungus" in the 1981 action movie Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.
