Herbert J. Walker was Bart's pen pal.

History[edit]

Edna Krabappel chose Walker to be Bart's pen pal. Walker's first letter to Bart was about that when he found out who his pen pal was, he was embarrassed to learn it was it was Springfield, knowing that he could tell him about his incredible life in Capital City, for it would "foment dissatisfaction with mundane existence".

Bart became angry as Walker insulted his life. He started to write his letter, and also sent a photo of him, showing him next to a road sign with the message "Capitol City 42 MI. To the stinkiest place on Earth, home of Herbert J. Walker".
