History
When Homer was fat Marge told Lisa that Homer can be surprisingly sensitive, and asked if she remembered when Marge giggled at his Sherlock Holmes hat. Homer had sulked for a week and then closed his detective agency.[1]
After Maude died Homer asked Ned why should Maude not be dating in Heaven, as the place is full of eligible bachelors, like John Wayne, Tupac Shakur, and Sherlock Holmes. Ned chuckled and told Homer that Sherlock Holmes is a character. Homer, misinterpreting this, said he sure is and made an erotic growl.[2]
