After delivering Red Barclay's shipment in Atlanta, Bart asked Homer how the two of them were going to get home. Homer assured Bart that "the good lord will provide". The two then notice an engineer standing in front of a man in military uniform. The disgruntled engineer told the man that he refused to "drive a train full of napalm" to Springfield. He then threw his hat to the ground and the two walked off. Homer thanked God, picked up the engineer's hat, and entered the train's cabin with Bart.
