Season Premiere 2016 is the one hundred and thirty-fourth content update for The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It started on September 21, 2016 and ended on October 4, 2016. It was a tie-in to the episode "Monty Burns' Fleeing Circus".

When does 'er, the traditional political "palm greasing" come into play? Every franchise contract comes with a standard government bribe. That is very comforting. If the offer is accepted Oh, boy! This could be Gil's biggest break since both my thumbs! If the offer is declined Oh, come on! Now the bank is gonna repossess the flaps on my cardboard box. It gets chilly without the flaps…

Corporate Kickstarts Wave 2[edit]

After tapping on Gil's Corporate Kickstart mark Ol' Gil's back with a brink-of-bankruptcy bookstore! Get bargain basement prices on this dying medium. Books will always have a place in yard sale milk crates and on the shelves of penniless schools like ours. If the offer is accepted A sale! At this rate, I'll be eatin' broken hotdogs and bathing in briny hotdog water by Sunday night! If the offer is declined Just you wait. Ol' Gil will have the last laugh when you wind up on the street with him. And I've got the best spot out there – under a nice shady tree and out of the mud puddle splash zone.

Season Premiere Heights Multiplier[edit]

On September 30 Let us reap the rewards of selling out to our new corporate overlords. On behalf of Globaltech-Omnidyn-Synthecorp, we'd like to give back to the social elite who so often get left behind. Huzzah! Why should the poor be the only ones who get to suckle at the teat of government subsidy? I wonder how much I could get for my other kidney…

• Chalmers' 1979 _ONDA, Burns' Limo, Channel 6 News Van, I Choo-Choo Choose You Train, Devil Donuts Cart, DMV Limo, Duff Racer, Duff Party Bus, Fleet-A-Pita Van, Frinkosonic MHV, Homer's Car, Left-handed Roadster, Limo, Oscar's Obstacle Truck, Victorian UFO and Plow King's Plow got animations.
• Springfield National Park road was fixed.
• A new character group, Police, was created: Wiggum, Lou and Eddie.
• For the duration of the Springfield Heights Jobs 4x Reward, all Springfield Heights jobs will receive 4 times the rewards.
• Caesar's Pow-Wow Casino, Barbarian Castle, Pet Mutant Seedling, Uriah's Heap Recycling Center, Model Donut and Soul Extraction Institute were added to the Characters inventory group.
• Health Spa's construction reward was changed from 2,500,000 to 6,000,000.
• Plastic Surgery Center's construction reward was changed from 2,250,000 to 3,000,000.
• Giant Robot was added permanently to the store.
• A glitched blue line at the bottom of the map was removed.
• The cost for Googolplex movies during Heights Multiplier was removed.

September 27th Update ("4_22_SeasonPremiere2016_PostLaunch_Patch1")[edit]

• Sophie Krustofski name was corrected to Sophie Krustofsky.
• In the questline One in Every Flock, "Make Reverend Lovejoy walk the dog" was changed to "Make Reverend Lovejoy Walk the Dog". Rev. Lovejoy's job "Walk the dog" was also capitalized to "Walk the Dog".
• Springfielde Glenne Condos, Bookaccino's and Fancy Farms's XP reward was changed from being awarded upon being placed to when it's done being built.
• A bug preventing the Real Estate Value reward from building Fancy Farms to be awarded was fixed.

September 30th Update ("4_22_SeasonPremiere2016_PostLaunch_Patch2")[edit]

• The cost for Googolplex movies during Heights Multiplier was added back.

October 3rd Update (Server Update)[edit]

• The end dates for the tie-in, the Corporate Kickbacks Wave 2 and the Heights Multiplier were all changed to October 4th at 5pm GMT.
