Steffan August was a teacher at Springfield University and a love interest of a younger Marge Simpson.
History
He taught multiple subjects while there and tutored Marge. Marge fell in love with him and eventually started to imagine Homer as him. Marge left Homer for Steffan and they started dating until Marge found out he didn't want to get married at all and that he was actually not at all like her. It was implied that the person who came to fix the heating was actually August himself, after saying "Do you want to hear the story about my long lost love?".
