Socrates is a falcon named after the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates.
History[edit]
Bart played a prank by making up that a boy named Timmy O'Toole was trapped in a well. Springfield's city government began looking to more unorthodox solutions on how to rescue Timmy O'Toole including a falconer who explained how Socrates would grasp the child firmly in his talons to fly him to safety, but during the demonstration at the wall Socrates just flew away.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
