His dance actually cheered the crowd up and made batter Bill McCloskey hit a homerun with Isotopes winning the game. Antoine Tex O'Hara, the team owner, made Homer the Isotopes mascot. Although results were not good for the team, Homer performed such an excellent work and was promoted to dance for the Capital City Capitals in an attempt to help a now old Capital City Goofball. Homer failed to cheer the Capital City crowd and was fired by Dave Rosenfield, the Capitals owner, who told Homer to pick up his check and put some clothes on.
