Homer Bufflekill is a character in a story told by a singing railroad hobo.
History[edit]
The singing railroad hobo told a story about Connie Appleseed. Homer Bufflekill is the father of Connie Appleseed. Homer started killing buffalo to eat them, to Connie's disgust. When Connie tried to get him to stop, offering apples instead. Homer started eating them, thinking they were buffalo testicles, but when he was informed they were apples, Homer thought they were disgusting. He refused to stop killing buffalo and took the wagon train, leaving Connie behind. As they went on, they continued to kill and eat buffalo, with Homer sleeping inside a buffalo skin.
Eventually, the wagon train caused the buffalo to go extinct. Upon realizing this, Homer was distraught, until Bart pointed out there was two left, which Homer then killed. Eventually, the settlers started to starve and began to resort to cannibalism. When they were going to eat Homer, Connie appeared with apples to give to the settlers, saving Homer's life.
