Socrates is a falcon named after the Ancient Greek philosopher Socrates.
History
In desperation to save Timmy O'Toole, a number of Springfieldians attempt to come up with solutions to free the boy trapped down the well. A falconer suggests Socrates flying down the well and take the boy out by his talons, but Socrates just flies away.
