These girls are probably based on the creepy twins from Stanley Kubrick's movie version of Stephen King's classic horror story The Shining, and have been featured as such in several episodes. They often speak in unison, and love to torment Bart. They also like to ridicule Lisa in her interests in school. They are usually seen as Lisa's friends. They first appeared in Homer's Odyssey. Even tough they are Lisa's friends they are sometimes tease Lisa like other kids.
