Norbert "Zack" Van Houten is the Danish uncle of Millhouse Van Houten, Bart's best friend. He is the brother of Mrs. Van Houten who was once married to Dutch Kirk Van Houten. He disapproves of Kirk as he is Dutch and argues with him. He appears in the episode Little Orphan Millie when Bart tries to reactivate the weaker side of Millhouse he summons Norbert. When Norbert sees him he declares that Millhouse has become a true Dane and takes him along on his frequent stunts. He and Millhouse then plan to travel across the world in a hot air balloon, but Bart tags along with them. They are marooned on an island by an attempted escape by Luann Van Houten and Kirk Van Houten. After Kirk insults the Danish, Zack engages him in a fistfight.
